I am a fashion junkie. I get a strange high when I walk into a mall or boutique. I actually enjoyed my retail job. My reason for never wanting to work in the food industry? The only discount you get is on food. What a waste. I check strangers out as they pass me by and I oggle my favorite parts of their outfit and I judge them on their distasteful choices. In order to feed my addiction, beyond my absolute attachment to my Macbook, are the fashion apps I have downloaded to my Android Charge. I just got a smartphone (crazy right?) and I have been obsessed about following fashion news, street style and trends right on my phone.
My favorite Fashion Applications:
- 360Fashion; Offers fashion news from all over the world. Unlike a lot of the blogs I follow, it doesn’t do outfit posts. I like outfit posts but I feel like knowing fashion is more than just knowing what style you are in to and surrounding yourself in only things that you are comfortable in. This app allows me to explore other styles and things I would have never thought about. It also keeps me educated about designers and what they are doing.
- Trend Stopper; A lot like 360 Fashion, it update relatively regularly and focuses more on fashion as an art. It features news on designers, stores, collaborations and international fashion news.
- Fashion Guide; Is multidimensional. It allows the user to explore shopping, media, news and trends on its application. I find the pink background to be really annoying, the app is a little slow to load and it is littered with cheesy advertisements, but it offers more mainstream fashion news. It looks at celebrities and what they are wearing plus trends that are prevalent among the elite.
If you are like me and are unhealthily obssessed knowing what is going on in the world and especially in fashion, I advise the first two apps.
